Puerto Vallarta is the second-most-visited town in Mexico after Acapulco.
It is famous for its cobblestone streets and luxury tourist facilities.
Puerto Vallarta borders the Río Cuale between green palm-covered mountains and the sparkling blue Bahia de Las Banderas (Bay of the Flags). This colorful city with all its attractions suits all tastes and budgets. Puerto Vallarta is known for:

As a matter of fact, Puerto Vallarta boasts a unique shopping experience. Visitors can find genuine art objects made by the Huichols, a tribe living in a remote part of the state of Jalisco (in which Puerto Vallarta is found).
The Huichol use small pearls to cover wood sculptures of animals and human figures. Their creations exemplify the beauty and greatness of Mexican aboriginal art.
